For the last several years I have been struggling with issues related to downsizing my house and possessions. I am a senior citizen, artist, designer, and garden enthusiast. I’ve created, collected, and inherited so many things which are difficult to part with because they represent who I am, and tell the story of my life, then and now. My goal has been to decide how and where to live for the remainder of my life while I am still active and in good health. Downsizing to live within a senior community would offer, among other things, less responsibility, on-site services and companionship/social interaction. In our meetings, we collaborate more the way partners wold. She is patient - I never have the feeling that she is punching a time clock. She is generous with her time, her words and her actions.
